Amendments to MARPOL Annex II and the associated draft amendments to Chapter 16 of the IBC Code and Chapter V of the BCH Code<\/strong><\/p>\n The new amendments to MARPOL Annex II require a pre-wash for cargoes of persistent floating substances with high viscosity and includes cargoes such as vegetable oils and paraffins when the vessel is in one of the defined special areas. Amendments to the standard form of the P&A Manual in Appendix IV are also contained in MEPC.315(74).
